On the web, it's difficult to show lighting control and how powerful it can be. Pictures of Home Theaters tell a compelling story, but a home with all the lights on is a little less involving.  Suffice to say, clients we have helped implement lighting control with will often say it is the single most rewarding area they invested in, with regard to their home. Once you have it, you find you can't imagine being without it - it is simply magic.

At the touch of a single button, your advanced lighting and control system automatically performs multiple tasks, cognizant of the time of day, and time of year.  Activating a scene (button) called "Welcome Home" will work differently at 5 in the morning than at 5 in the evening, and differently again at the same time in July and January. Importantly it always provides the same perfect result - energy management, aesthetics and task lighting in perfect harmony. Automation, starting with lighting control, really makes life better. Just imagine the possibilities.


Lighting Control Stations

Lighting Control Stations are elegantly designed wall-mounted keypads that replace light switches and other traditional controls. Each station replaces up to nine normal light switches, ridding your walls of clutter.

Advanced functionality in every button:

Each button on a K&W Audio custom Control Station can function as both a toggle and an advanced dimmer switch. Press and release to turn a light on and off. Press and hold to ramp the light’s intensity up and down. When the button is released, the system memorizes the dimming level for the next time that light is used. More advanced button programming is also available to you for lighting scene selections, whole house or zone preset levels, drapery control, and many other functions.

Master Control Stations

The Master Control Station allows you to control your entire home from one location. There are often 2 or 3 in a home (Main Entrance, Kitchen and Master Bedroom). The close up above shows one in action. It reveals the status of all of the lighting legs throughout the house. It's buttons (often on a touchscreen) remotely control all stations while displaying their status.They can be the dispaly to access all other aspects of an automated home as well. So now that you have lighting control, you can add in Audio, Video, HVAC, Security and any other aspect of your homes infrastructure from the same Master Control Station - as simply as using a bank machine.

Today, lighting control systems can be the backbone to a full blown control system.
