Movies whisk us away and immerse us in times and places wonderfully removed from our everyday lives. The Theatre experience, brought into our home via the Home Theater Projector and available on our timetable, can be one of the most rewarding investments one can make in relaxation and whole family entertainment.
The no holds barred theater will always have a front projection system. Flat panel TV’s are great, but no matter how large or what technology, they define the room as a media room, not a dedicated Home Theater. Theaters have projectors and wall size screens!
The projection system is crucial to that ultimate Home Theater experience. Our consultants are here to help you design your Dream Home Theater by integrating the latest projection technology that exceeds the visual performance of going out to a movie theater, and offers a bigger image at the seating position too!
It’s important to know the technical requirements for a projector in your Home Theater project from the initial design stages. Projection mounting, or throw distance, relate directly to the projector and screen mounting height and absolute aspect ratio. If you intend to use an Anamorphic lens at any time – meaning initially or some time in the future, that needs to be considered in the beginning to avoid unwanted cost and work. Technology advances in the front projection arena yearly, and since front projection is an area we have been involved in for decades, we are your ongoing resource to ensure the result is at least everything you expect, and a retrofit is all you expect too.
We have 3 dedicated projection based demonstration theaters in our shop. That’s more than any other shop in the city. We can show you the difference between 1080P and E- shift 4K, and show you why everything from screen material choice to HDR has important today. Understanding all of the changing technologies impacts ( from CRT, DLP, LCD and DILA, to bulb vs. laser) allows us to explain and address what specifications are important for your application, and illustrate them to you in a simple to understand way. From the right projector for a budget, to the latest in Anamorphic Lens tech, from the right masking screen aspect combination to the minimum luminescence for expected anbient light – our knowledgeable guys would love to help you out with any questions you may have. The resource is there for you. Why not use it?
Before you even start to construct you home theater, at the very least ask us what you need to do to perform the right pre-wire, what the right throw distance calculation is for your room and what are the unique requirements for electrical for your vision. It will save you time and money, but will also ensure the best result with a bit of our friendly knowledgeable planning.
We have a variety of different projectors connected and on display for your review in rooms that show off their individual strengths in applications from hidden media room to full blown Grand Theater experiences. So drop by for a watch, we can help if you let us!
